What if I told you that you don’t need to do all of the marketing and promotion for your business?
And then, what if I told you that you can get some awesome promotion for your product or service for almost no cost?
I can see you answering in two different ways. Some of you would say ‘Sign me up!’ And others would say ‘Pfft, yeah right! You’re nuts.’
In fact, I bet we just lost all the ‘you’re nuts’ people. That’s ok. Their loss. 😉
Today I’m going to share with you two painless marketing methods, with a little simple setup and low to no cost.
Painless marketing with testimonials
Are you asking for testimonials after you’ve worked with a client, or after a customer has bought your product? No? You should be!
Here’s the thing. People are busy. They may absolutely love your product, but unless you specifically ask for the testimonial, chances are they won’t give you one.
You can create a canned email for this purpose, with blank spaces to enter the customer’s name and product they bought. It’s best to ask them a few specific questions about what prompted them to buy it, and what the benefits have been for them.
Testimonials are also great for those days when you’re feeling ‘meh’ about your work. The kind words from a happy customer can lift you out of a funk almost as quickly as a piece of chocolate. 😉
Painless marketing with affiliates
This one will cost you a bit, because you’ll have to pay your affiliates for each sale they send your way. But the beauty of this one is in the old saying, Many hands make light work.
When you have affiliates, they do some of the work for you. You can provide graphics and email copy for them to use, and they’ll send it to their community. This can expand your visibility exponentially.
Having an affiliate program isn’t for everyone, however. It does take some time to set it up and keep it going.
